The majority of the customers were of Asian descent and from different nationalities and friendly. There is enough parking at the back of the building. It resembles a private residence (it probably was before being a restaurant). One of MauiBoy's places for guests and family visiting from Hawaii.

Our standbys - baked char siu bao, steamed char siu bao, har gau, siu mai, beef tendon, deep fried taro ball, deep fried shrimp won tons, sesame fried mochi/sweet bean balls, sticky rice/pork in lotus leaf, tripe, congee with the long donut, gailan w/ oyster sauce, custard tarts, to name a few. Open at 10:30 AM but some of the faves won't come out until after noon (roast, noodles, fried) but we'll go to Asian BBQ & Noodle for that. Yes, we've been to Ping Pang Pong (Gold Coast) KJ's at the Rio, the former Cathay House, Harbor Palace (Chinatown) and that all-day place on W. We live in Henderson and East Ocean dim sum is about 15 mins away but we opt for this place consistently. Simply make eye contact with the servers (gentle wave is OK) and you're in business. For those visitors who have no clue about the dim sum rage, it's like Chinese tapas, small plates, really quick since steaming carts bring freshly made dumplings to your table without waiting for a menu or ordering. This past wknd, saw and shook hands with the old chef/owner from Diamond China, one of our faves, so if he's sharing his talents making dim sum, it's a good thing. Chang's warm smile and seeing the same servers. While I must admit part of my love for this place in the 24 years since relocating from Hawaii is Mrs. Followed Chang's from the Goldkey Shopping Center near the Strip to their present Decatur/Tropicana location.
